Ceesay was the former Director of Finance of the GFF.
He served nearly 30 years inside the GFF administration.
Ceesay also served over 20 years at the GFF secretariat handling financial administration and working through multiple executive committees and normalisation periods.
He stepped down from his role at the end of December 2025 to focus on his presidential bid.
Ceesay worked under multiple GFF executive committees and transitional normalization structures.
He acted as an executive for Steve Biko Football Club and nurtured numerous players who now turned professionals.
He is the Co-founder, co-owner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gambian Dutch Lions FC.
Ceesa invested heavily in local infrastructure such as the Faraba Football Complex.
