PSV Wellingara overwhelms Bombada to salvage lead in 2nd Tier

PSV Wellingara on Wednesday defeated Bombada 2-1 in their week-two fixture played at the National Technical Training Centre Football Field in Yundum to salvage their lead in the 2020-2021 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League.

The Wellingara and Brikama based-clubs won their opening league matches before their mid-week clash.

PSV Wellingara netted two goals to secure yet another significant three points to extend their lead in the country’s second tier.

Bombada scored one goal, which eventually proved to be a consolation goal for them.

PSV Wellingara now gripped 6 points after winning their two opening league fixtures while Bombada is with 3 points in two league outings.

The Brikama based-team will race to win their next league game to convalesce in the second tier.
