Presidents of Football Associations of Tanzania, Uganda and Libya congratulate Lamin Kabba Bajo

The Presidents of the Football Associations of Tanzania, Uganda and Libya, have congratulated their Gambian counterpart Mr. Lamin Kaba Bajo on his re-election as the President of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF).

Mr. Bajo, who recently was elected President of WAFU Zone A secured 51 of the 77 votes casted, totalling to 66% to win the GFF top job in a convincing and landslide manner on Saturday.

The President of Tanzania, Mr Wallace Karia wrote: “I have the honour to present to you the warm compliments and sporting regards of the Members of Executive Committee of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) which I preside.

The purpose of this letter is to warmly congratulate you on your re-election as President of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF).

I believe that your well-deserved election was a solid statement by Gambia football family of your undoubted qualities as an administrator of repute.”

Mr. Karia concluded by stating that the TFF has firm belief that Mr. Bajo have the capacity to serve football in The Gambia and assured him and his Executive Committee of their continued support.

The President of Uganda, Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim also wrote on behalf of the Ugandan football fraternity, for Mr. Bajo to kindly accept their sincere congratulations for being elected once again to lead Gambian Football “The recent progress observed in Gambian football has had everything to do with your administrative and strategic input. I therefore promise that on behalf of Uganda, FUFA will continue to synergy with GFF, CAF and FIFA in order to develop, promote and protect African and World Football,” he asserted.

The President of the Libyan Football Federation also wrote Abdulhakim Alshalmani: “I would like to extend my congratulations and best wishes to you on the occasion of your election again as president of The Gambia Football Federation. Your knowledge and leadership, your passion and experience will undoubtedly have an important impact on the development of our beautiful game in Gambia.

“I also seize the opportunity to convey my felicitations to the Members of the Board of Directors elected with you.

 I wish you and your team good luck and success for all the challenges that lie ahead, in creating and witnessing a lasting legacy for the future of football in Gambia. I'm looking forward to seeing you very soon with good health. With warm regards.”
