Pre-season: Real de Banjul draw with Casa Sports

Real de Banjul FC were on Friday held to a barren goalless draw by Senegalese giant Casa Sports in their return leg pre-season game played at the Live Your Dream Sports Academy in Basori.

The City boys defeated Coupe de Senegal champions Casa Sports 4-0 in the first leg played at the Stade Aline Sitoe Diatta a week before the return leg in The Gambia.

The Senegalese side came for revenge in The Gambia, but the City boys defended very solidly to deny the Senegalese side from scoring any goal.

The double-legged tie was used as part of the two sides’ preparations ahead of their respective division league both in The Gambia and Senegal.

Real de Banjul finished third in the GFF League last season with 42 points, while Casa Sports, who were crowned champions of Coupe de Senegal also finished sixth position in the Senegal’s Ligue 1 with 36 points.

Real de Banjul will open their league season on Saturday against reigning champions, Fortune FC.
