The Olympafrica male volleyball team on Saturday marked their name in the history books of The Gambia volleyball after defeating Gamtel/Gamcel 3-1 in the knockout final played at the Independence Stadium.

The triumphed helped the Olympafrica male volleyball team ultimately reach their landmark in the Gambian volleyball.

Having spent so many years developing talents in the Eastern part of Serrekunda, the club's dramatic rise to the top is breathtaking.

For some time down the history lane, Olympafrica has been a club struggling to truly remodel.

Perhaps the biggest contribution for Coach Alagie Babou Joof, was to install a culture of winning, which eventually revamped the academy set-up, the fruits of which are now falling from the tree.

Behind the scenes, they all help install a winning mentality, and it seems realistic and today they are three consecutive league champions and just added another trophy to cabin

The team now dream of Africa conquest as they look forward to the Men's African Club championship in 2022.
