The Tujereng Football Field was packed to capacity, with a multitude of fans and dignitaries gracing the grand final.
Both sides began the match brightly with trading possession and attacking intent but the first half ended goalless.
The breakthrough came in the 57th minute when Bakary Sey pounced on a long ball from his goalkeeper, driving forward before unleashing a thunderous strike that sent Nema supporters into wild jubilation.
Tamba Kunda FC refused to surrender and introduced fresh legs, mounting relentless pressure on Nema United FC.
Their persistence paid dividend in the 90+5th minute of the match when Bakary Manjang rose highest from a corner to fire home the equalizer.
This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 7-6 in favour of Nema United FC.
Both coaches hailed the spirit and determination of their squads, while acknowledging the spectacle display of Tujereng football fans.
As champions, Nema United went home with a giant trophy and a cash prize of D10,000 while Tamba Kunda FC received D8, 000 as runners-up.
For Nema United FC, the triumph reinforced their dominance as league champions.
