Modou Barrow wins back-to-back South Kerean League titles

Scorpion’s winger, Modou Barrow has won back-to-back South Korean K-League titles following Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors 2-nil win over Jeju United during their last league encounter played at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium on Sunday.

Han Kyo-won gave Jeonbuk the lead in the 55th minute before Song Min-Kyu sealed the victory in the 74th minute.

The 29-year-old Gambian international scored 3 goals in 20 appearances for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in the South Korean K-League.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s win saw Jeonbuk take their fifth consecutive K-League title, and eighth in total. They finished two points ahead of Ulsan Hyundai after playing 38 games.

Jeonbuk finished with 76 points after securing 22 wins, 10 draws and 6 losses. Ulsan Hyundai FC finished second place with 74 points with 21 wins, 11 draws and 6 losses.

Meanwhile, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors title triumph means that the former Reading and Swansea City winger has now joined Gibril Sillah, Buba Sumareh and Dembo Darboe in winning club league titles this season.
