Medina cruise to SK East knockout final

Medina United FC on Tuesday thumped Lahaiba FC 2-0 in their semi-final played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium to cruised to the 2025 Yonna Islamic Micro Finance sponsored  Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation-knock out final.

Buba Dahaba opened the scores for Medina United FC in the 13th minute of the match.

Modou L. Ceesay doubled Medina United's lead in the 73rd minute of the match to earn his a spot in the Serrekunda East knock out final.

Speaking to reporters after the final whistle, head coach of Medina FC, Haruna Jabang, thanked Allah almighty for winning their semi-final match against Lahaiba.

"This was what I expected from my players. I'm very happy for the win," Coach pointed out.

Coach Jabang revealed that during the past years his team had a very bad season.

 "We have put our house in order this season. We would now shift our attention to our league semi-final match against Juventus.”

It is not going to be an easy match. We are going to prepare well for the match against Juventus," Coach Jabang explained.

He thanked Medina FC fans for always rallying behind the team during their matches.

Meanwhile, Medina FC will now square off Late Njuga in the 2025 Serrekunda East  knockout cup final on 22  November 2025 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
