Madina Salam, Berending reach KSD tournament semis

The Madina Salam boys defeated Nyofelleh 5-4 on post-match penalty shootouts after regular time ended goalless in their last eight match played at the Sifoe Football Field on Friday to advance to the semi-finals of the annual Kombo South District football championship.

Berending beat Sanyang 4-3 on penalties after regulation time ended goalless in their last eight match played at the Gunjur Upper Basic School Football Field on Saturday to progress to the semi-finals of the yearly Kombo South District football tournament.

Meanwhile, Nyofelleh and Sanyang will both hang their boots until next year following their exit from the 2023 Approve Services (APS) sponsored Kombo South District football tournament after losing to Madina Salam and Berending in their quarter-final matches.
