League clubs stretch muscles for new league season

The country’s league clubs are stretching their muscles for the new Gambia Football Federation (GFF) league season.

The clubs are currently preparing themselves fit for the country’s first and second division league competitions set to begin next month.

Reigning league champions Fortune FC will combat to retain their league crown.

Heavy-weights such as Wallidan, Real de Banjul, Gambia Armed Forces and Brikama United will all vie to snatch the 2021-2022 division one league title.

The quartets surrendered the country’s elite league title to Fortune FC last season.

Newly-promoted sides Falcons, Samger, Steve Biko and Team Rihno will all scuffle to stay in the top-flight league for another season.

Relegated sides Tallinding United and B.K Milan will both affray to regained promotion to the first division league next season.

The duo were demoted to the second division league following their woeful performance in the country’s elite league last season.
