Kanifing East conquer GPA to pile pressure on Medina Utd

Kanifing East on Wednesday defeated The Gambia Ports Authority 1-0 in their week-four fixture played at the Bakau Mini Stadium to mount pressure on Medina United in the 2024\2025 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) League Division Two.

The Kanifing East boys made an excellent start to the country’s Second Tier campaign after winning two matches and drawing one.

The ferry boys secured only a point in their three opening league matches before playing against Kanifing East.

Kanifing East knew that a defeat against The Gambia Ports Authority would dash their hopes of surpassing Medina United in the country’s Second Tier.

The Gambia Ports Authority needed the maximum points against Kanifing East to move away from the relegation zone following their woeful star to the Second Division League campaign.

Kanifing East bagged the vital three points after scoring one goal during the match to pile pressure on Medina United in the country’s Second Tier.

The Kanifing East boys now occupy second-place on the Second Division League table with 10 points after four league matches.

The Gambia Ports Authority sit second-place from bottom on the country’s Second Tier table with a point in four league matches.
