Coach Mbenga was speaking to reporters shortly after her side’s 1-0 win over Berwuleng FC in the 2024 FF Cup final played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama on Sunday.
She stated that her side played good football, adding that she felt honoured to be part of Red Scorpions FC.
When asked about her assessment of the game, Coach Mbenga revealed that the FF Cup final match was their best game, adding that her side played extremely well.
‘‘We could have buried the game during the first half but we failed to capitalise on our chances,’’ Coach Mbenga said.
She further stated that during the first half break she talked to her players and the players listened to her, adding that the team played the way she wanted them to play.
Head Coach of Berewuleng FC, Fakebba Saine, applauded his girls for their brilliant performance during the match, adding that his girls were not lucky to win the match.
“We played better than Red Scorpion FC and created more goal scoring chances than them but we failed to capitalize on our chances,” Coach Saine said.
