Defending champions of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League, Hawks FC on Thursday unveiled their new jerseys, training kits and logo for the 2023/2024 season.

The unveiling of the new kits dubbed: “The dawn of a new era” was held at its Club House in Bakau.

The newly unveiled kits were worn by players and match officials for the first time this season during Hawks FC’s goalless draw match against Marimoo Park Food during their week-16 fixture played on the same day (Thursday) at the King George Mini Stadium in Banjul.

Speaking during the unveiling, Hon. James Gomez, president of Hawks Football Club, expressed delight and described the day as a milestone.

“This is a great day for the club, as it was in 1973, when the late Ousainou Njie, giving his enthusiasm and commitment to young people, decided to form a club and named it Hawks,” he explained.

“Since then, Hawks has been a different club. Hawks are the only club that belong to all of us, whether you are in the executive, a player or a supporter. We all have equal rights in the club.”

According to him, Hawks will continue to be a professional football club which will be in the hands of young people all the time, adding that Hawks with three teams (1st, 3rd division as well as an academy) will continue working together to be one of the best teams in the country.

As they launched their new kits and logo, he urged people to continue supporting them and give them advice to continue growing as a club.

These jerseys are available for the players and are also in replicas for fans at the clubhouse. The new kits include the brand of the club's partner, Qelemes.
