The Coastal Town boys defeated Kunkujang Friends 6-5 on post-match penalty shootouts after regulation time ended 6-6 in a keenly-contested final played at the Palma Rima Beach on Sunday.
The final saw an astonishing exhibition of skills and talents but regular time failed to produce a winner.
This pushed the match into post-match penalty shootouts, which ended 6-5 in favour of Gunjur Dabanani.
As champions, Gunjur Dabanani went home with a giant trophy, gold medals and a cash prize of D75, 000 while Kunkujang Friends received silver medals and D50, 000 as runners-up.
The final was witnessed by the president of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Lamin Kaba Bajo, Chairman of the Beach Soccer Committee Abou Khan, General Secretary Lamin M. Jassey and other executive members.
The final was also witnessed by the Director of Competitions for West African Football Union WAFU Zone A Abdoulie Ceesay.
The final attracted hundreds of spectators from Greater Banjul and its satellite areas.
