The duo were banned from participating in the annual inter-schools athletics championship for three years for cheating during the just ended regional inter-schools heats.
Mr. Ceesay made these revelations at a press briefing held yesterday at Gambia Teachers Union along MDI road in Kanfing.
According to Ismaila Ceesay, president of GSSSA, seven schools are still under investigation, adding that if they are found guilty they would be banned equally from participating.
Mr. Ceesay revealed that 95 schools qualified for this inter-schools athletes championship.
Mr. Ceesay said that they started sanitizing the competition from last year, adding that this year too, “we thought last year all the schools would have learned; though some schools have not learned their lessons.
According to him, they have also realised that some schools did connive to tamper with records so that a particular school could be favoured especially senior secondary schools.
He stated that over 800 athletes are set to compete in this year’s championship.
He further stated that the tickets for Friday and Saturday are D100 while Sunday would be D150, with several artistes expected to perform during the three days championship.
