Greater Tomorrow jump to top place in Women 2 tier, Foni Girls continue struggle

Greater Tomorrow moved top of the table standings in the GFF Women’s second tier league, while Foni Girls continue with their poor run of form in their maiden Gambia Football Federation (GFF) 2 Division League played over the weekend. 

 

Greater Tomorrow thrashed Foni Girls 5-1 in a game played at the Kiti football field.

 West Coast Region based team, Greater Tomorrow collected their third victory of the season while Foni Girls conceded to their third defeats of the season.

Greater Tomorrow now collected three victories, one defeat with no draw yet, while Foni Girls suffered three defeats, one draw.

Greater Tomorrow jumped to 1st position in the league with 9 points, leveled with Koita FC, while Foni Girls languished at rock-bottom-(10th) position with 1 point, leveled with Raptim after four matches.

Elsewhere, Jeshwang United moved to second position after recording their second win in the Women’s 2nd Division League played over the weekend.

Jeshwang United defeated Raptim 3-2 in a game played at Kiti football field.

The Jeshwang female side has now collected their second win of the season, while Raptim search for first victory still continues after their fourth defeat of the season.

Jeswang United overall collected two victories, one defeat and no draw, while Raptim conceded to their second defeat, one lose and one draw and no win yet.

Jeshwang United moved to 3rd position with 9 points, leveled with Future Bi and Prisons while Raptim FC still sit at the relegation zone on 9th position with 1 point leveled with Foni Girls FC.    

Lower Nuimi defeated Prisons 1-0 in a game played at the Soma Mini-stadium 

Lower Nuimi collected their second victory of the season, while Prisons FC conceded their second defeat of the season.

The North Bank Region-based team overall collected two wins, suffered two defeats and registered no draw yet while Prisons FC conceded second defeat and two wins. 

Lower Nuimi moved to 5th position with 6 points, leveled with Future Bi and Prisons FC who dropped to 6th position.   

Future Bi defeated Young Icons 5-2 in a game played at the Soma Mini-stadium 

Future Bi who recorded their second victory of the season, also lost two games with no draw yet, while debutants Young Icons suffered their third defeat with one win.

Future Bi occupy 4th position with 6 points leveled with Jeshwang United, while Young Icons sit 8th position with 3 points leveled with Lower Nuimi.
