GPA forced to 10th draw in Gambian 2nd Tier

The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) were forced to their 10th draw in the ongoing Gambian Second Division League.

GPA FC were held a 1-1 draw by Serrekunda FC during their week twenty-five fixture of the Gambia Football Federation Second Division League game played at the King George 5 Mini Stadium in Banjul on Sunday.

Following a goalless stalemate in the first period, the Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) took the lead in the 52nd minute, before Salimou Berthe restored parity for Serrekunda FC in the 64th minute to ensure they share the spoils.

The Ferry Boys now conceded their 10th draw of the season, while the Serrekunda Boys registered their 11th draw of the league.

The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) overall collected 10 wins, 10 draws and seven defeats in 27 games, while Serrekunda FC overall recorded six victories, 11 draws and 10 losses in 27 matches.

The result puts GPA FC on 6th position with 40 points, while Serrekunda FC occupy 13th position with 29 points.
