The club reaffirmed its commitment to player development, improved performance, discipline and the continued growth of the team.
Speaking at the ceremony, President of Gambia Ports Authority Football Club, Arthur Ashcroft, highlighted the club’s expectations for the new technical leadership, particularly the development and transformation of players and creating opportunities for them to progress to higher levels of football.
Ashcroft emphasized GPA’s investment in the club and the importance of translating that investment into improved team performance and quality player development.
Newly appointed head coach, Tapha Manneh, expressed appreciation to Gambia Ports Authority Football Club management for the opportunity.
Manneh highlighted the importance of institutional support in achieving the team’s objectives.
He identified areas including logistics, player welfare, motivation, medical care and other forms of support necessary for the effective running of the team.
Manneh expressed his commitment to working with the players and technical team towards achieving the objectives of the club.
Meanwhile, The Gambia Ports Authority Football Club are looking forward to the new chapter and remains committed to developing talent, supporting young footballers and strengthening the future of the club.
