Gov’t completes works at Independence Stadium

The government of The Gambia have completed works at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, according to news reaching The Point Sports Desk.

The country’s biggest football arena was banned by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from hosting international football matches, including CAF qualifier matches.

The government of The Gambia work hard and finally completed works at the country’s national stadium with modernised facilities.

The Gambia is now waiting for CAF’s approval to play their home matches at the Independence Stadium.
