The championship is expected to begin on 20th August 2025 and finish 30th August 2025.
The GNOC intends to feature athletes in various sports in the inaugural schools championship:
In Athletics 5 Boys and 5 Girls will be selected.
Swimming will feature 2 athletes (1 boy and 1 girl).
In Judo 2 Boys and 2 Girls will represent the country.
Basketball will fill a 3x3 team (4 Boys).
Wrestling will register (1 Boy and 1 Girl).
Beach Volleyball will register (2 Boys and 2 Girls).
Twenty six 26 athletes are expected to represent The Gambia at the event.
