Last year’s league cup winners, Ghana Town defended their title after defeating Wullikama FC 7-6 in a marathon post-match penalty shootouts following a 1-1 draw in the regulation time.
Wullikama FC, who this season came with full hope of winning the league, demonstrated great character and spirit during the game, but were later left disappointed following the final result in the shootouts.
As winners, Ghana Town were awarded a giant trophy and cash prize of D40, 000, while the runners up, Wullikama FC pocketed a consolation prize of D30, 000.
The final was graced by football loving fans at the Brufut Multi-Purpose Center on Sunday 31st December 2023.
