The country’s top female league campaign was supposed to commence last weekend but was delayed due to The Gambia Secondary School football tournament.
The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has identified seven football grounds to host the Women’s League Division One and Two matches.
The football fields identified to host league matches are:
Box Bar Mini Staduim in Brikama, Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, Live Your Dream Sports Complex in Basori, Bakau Mini Staduim, KG 5 Mini Staduim in Banjul, Jarra-Soma Mini Stadium in the Lower River Region, and Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum.
As part of the opening fixtures, on Saturday 18 November 2023, Future Bi will take on Koita at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum at 4pm.
Berewuleng will welcome The Gambia Police Force at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Staduim at 4pm on the same day.
On Sunday 19 November 2023, The Gambia Armed Force Ladies will battle it out with Brikama United at the Bakau Mini Stadium at 4pm.
On Monday 20 November 2023, TMT ladies will host reigning league champions Red Scorpion at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum at 4pm.
City Girls will clash with Immigration at the KG 5 Mini Stadium in Banjul at 4pm on the same day.
In the Second Division League, on Friday 17 November 2023, Greater Tomorrow will entertain Trust at the Live Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori at 4pm.
Prison will lock horns with Jeshwang United at the Bakau Mini Sodium 4pm on the same day.
On Saturday 18 November 2023, Mansawally will take on Kinteh’s at the Jarra-Soma Mini Stadium at 4pm on the same day.
Raptim will host Fortune at the Live Your Dreams Sports Complex in Basori 4pm on the same day.
Lower Nuimi will battle it out with Yakarr at the Jarra-Soma Mini Stadium at 4pm on the same day
On Sunday 19 November 2023, Darboe’s will welcome Jung Mama at the Live Your Sports Complex in Basori at 4pm.
