Officials of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) on Wednesday visited Gunjur Mini Stadium construction project site.

The country’s football governing body officials were received by members of Gunjur Sports Committee (GSC) and National Assembly Member for Kombo South Consistency Hon. Alhagie Kebba K. Barrow.

First vice president of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) and project manager, Alhagie Bakary K. Jammeh apologized to Gunjurians for the delay of the project, promising that the project will commence soon.

Financial Manager of the Federation, Kemo Ceesay appealed to the people of Gunjur to desist from using negative comments against GFF regarding the construction of the Mini Stadium.

Secretary General of Gunjur Sports Committee, Dembo F. Touray said they were not sure if the project will still go ahead, noting that they had the same project in 2001 when The Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) were supposed to build a stadium in the Kombo South coast town which failed.
