GFF, CAF set to organise safety training for 1st Division clubs

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) and Confederation of African Football (CAF) are set to organise a safety and security training workshop for the country’s Elite League clubs scheduled from 28th to 30th November 2024 at the Metzy Residence Hotel in Kololi at 10am.

The three-day workshop stemmed from CAF Safe Stadium initiative and will induct the club representatives to be availed with CAF's safety and security measures in football matches, amongst which safety and security regulations, accreditation and access control and crowd management, amongst other topics will be highlighted.

The workshop will be instructed by Xololi Nokithula Vilakati from Eswatini and Julius Ben Emunah from Ghana and will also be attened by CAF Safety and Security Division Head Dr Christian Emeruwa.

With the increasing rise in popularity and huge interest in CAF events, the continental body is also increasing its efforts to create safe and secure events for fans, teams and various stakeholders of the game.

The opening ceremony will be presided over by the GFF President Lamin Kabba Bajo and will also be attended by GFF Executive Committee members and stakeholders
