Gambia U-20 begin training ahead of All Africa Games

The Gambia U-20 team has started intensive training ahead of the All Africa Games, Accra 2023 at the National Technical Training Centre in Old Yundum.

Coach Abdoulie Bojang and his Young Scorpions charges are currently training hard for the continent’s cadet biggest football showpiece.

The Gambia U-20 team secured silver medal in the 2023 Total Energies Africa U-20 Youth Championship hosted in Egypt after losing to Senegal 2-0 in a final played at the Cairo International Stadium on 11th March 2023.

The Young Scorpions slipped to Uruguay 1-0 in the round of sixteen of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Argentina.

Meanwhile, The Gambia U-20 team is in Group A of the All Africa Games, Accra 2023 alongside Benin, Congo Brazzaville and Ghana.
