Gambia switch attention to AFCON preliminary qualifiers

The Gambia senior national team will now switch their attention to their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations preliminary qualifiers clash with Chad next month following their exit from the continent’s bi-annual biggest football festivity.

The Scorpions slipped to host nation Cameroon 2-0 in their quarterfinal encounter of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations.

Coach Tom Saintfiet will prepare his team fit enough for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations preliminary qualifiers with Chad.

The Gambia will contend to stun Chad in their preliminary qualifiers to advance to the group phase of the continent’s bi-annual biggest football fiesta qualifiers.
