Gambia, Mali AFCON qualifier clash set for March 2023

The Gambia and Mali 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match is now slated for March 2023, according to news reaching Point Sports Desk.

The match was initially set for September 2022 but was postponed due to the 2022 World Cup preparations.

The Scorpions currently sit third-place in Group G with 3 points following their slender 1-0 victory over South Sudan in their opening qualifier match before losing to Congo 1-0 in their second group fixture.

The Gambia must beat Mali in their third group match to fancy their chances of qualifying for the continent’s bi-annual biggest fiesta to be hosted in Ivory Coast.

Mali currently sit top-spot in Group G with 6 points after thrashing Congo and South Sudan in their two opening qualifier matches.

The Eagles will affray to thump The Gambia in their third group fixture to maintain their winning form in the qualifiers.
