The Gambia U-16 women team to represent the country at the three-country UEFA invitation football tournament in Luxemburg from April 25 to 30 is set to leave The Gambia tomorrow, Saturday for the championship.

Coach Suna Njie has finalised a 20-woman squad that will represent the country at the tournament. 

The Gambia will be joined by the new hosts and Liechtenstein in the competition that was originally scheduled to take place in the latter country. 

The selected Gambian players comprise of girls from women’s football academies and schools nationwide. The team and technical staff will leave Banjul on Saturday 23rd April for the tournament.
