GAF slip, GPF held in Women’s League Division One icebreaker

 The Gambia Armed Force ladies slipped while the Gambia Police Force were held in the opening fixtures of the 2023-2024 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Women’s League Division One.

 

Gambia Police Force were held to a barren goalless draw against Berewuleng in a match played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama on Saturday.

Brikama United thumped The Gambia Armed Force 2-1in a match played at the Bakau Mini Stadium on Sunday.

Binta Jarju opened the scores for the Sateyba Girls in the 1st minute of the match before Haddy Joof  levelled matters for the Khaki Girls in the 29th minute.

Serreh Koteh netted the second goal for Brikama United in the 45th minute of the match to earn her side a slender win over The Gambia Armed Force.

Reigning league champions, Red Scorpion thumped TMT ladies 2-0 at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field on Monday.

Kaddy opened the scoring in the 55th minute before Pullo Bah extended their lead in the 64th minute.

City Girls defeated Immigration 1-0 at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul on the same day.

Ramatoulie Gibba’s 12th minute earned City Girls the vital three points.

 In the Second Tier, Greater Tomorrow beat Trust 2-1at the Live Your Dream Sports Basori on Friday.
