Falcons beaten in GFF 1st Division League

Falcons FC were beaten during the week-23 fixture of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) First Division League played on Friday.

Falcons were defeated 1-0 by the Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

Abdourahman Badamosi scored the game’s only goal for GAF in the 6th minute.

Falcons maintain 1st position with 42 points in 22 games while GAF moved to 6th position with 32 points in 23 matches.

Elsewhere, Greater Tomorrow beat Steve Biko 3-1 during a game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

Greater Tomorrow scored their goals through Abdoulie Baldeh’s brace in the 24th and 62rd minutes and Modou Boye Jallow’s strike in the 37th minute. Steve Biko scored their consolation goal through Muhammed L. Bah in the 69th minute.

The rejuvenated Greater Tomorrow moved to 12th position with 25 points while Steve Biko dropped to 10th position with 27 points.

Fortune FC and Real de Banjul played a 1-1 draw at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

The draw put Fortune FC at 3rd position with 37 points while Real de Banjul maintain 2nd position with 37 points in 23 games.

Wallidan FC thrashed Team Rhino 3-0 during a game played at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul.

Dawda Darboe opened the scoring for Wallidan FC in the 68th minute before Abdoulie Manneh doubled their lead in the 73rd minute. John Gomez sealed the victory for them in the 81st minute.

Wallidan FC sit 4th position with 35 points while Team Rhino occupy 9th position with 30 points in 23 matches.
