Elite Utd win in GFF 2nd Tier

Elite United recorded an impressive win during their week-26 fixture of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League played over the weekend.

Elite United thrashed B4U Kiang West 3-0 during a game played at the Soma Mini Stadium on Saturday.

Sheikh Tijan Jallow opened the scoring for Elite United in the first minute before Malang Jammeh doubled their lead in the 34th minute. Gibrel Tunkara sealed the victory for them in the 73rd minute.

Elite United moved to 2nd position with 47 points, while B4U Kiang West maintain second from bottom (17th) position with 21 points after 26 games.

Elsewhere, TMT FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Immigration during a game match played at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul on Friday.

Yahya Ndong gave TMT the lead in the 6th minute but Landing Badjie restored parity for Immigration in the 14th minute.

TMT maintain 1st position with 50 points after 25 matches, while Immigration occupy 9th position with 37 points after 26 matches.

Kuteh Jumbulu defeated Gunjur United 2-1 during a match played at the Soma Mini Stadium on Friday.

Alieu Kora and Ebrima Manga scored for Kuteh Jumbulu in the 25th and 90+2 minute, while Salifu Bojang scored Gunjur United’s consolation goal in the 37th minute.

Kuteh Jumbulu maintain 18th position with 16 points, while Gunjur United sit 12th position with 34 points after 26 games.
