As part of activities of its nationwide tour, Education Students Association (EDUSA) at the University of The Gambia (UTG), in collaboration with Namie Foundation and Peace Esso Adventures, recently joined Pakaliba Cluster Teachers’ Association for the  four-kilometer walk for health from Dongoro Ba to Willigaraba.

The exercise marked this year’s annual walk for health by the Pakaliba cluster teachers.

The event geared towards promoting teamwork, resilience and physical fitness among participants.  It highlighted the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood as manifested during the long walk.

Participants walked in high spirits, sharing jokes, making conversations and building strong bonds between cluster teachers and EDUSA members.

The occasion was witnessed by the president of The Gambia Football Federation (GFF), Lamin Kaba Bajo.

The teachers and students took the opportunity to remember the late university student leader, Yunusa Mbye.

They carried a banner, displaying the inscriptions "rest in peace, Yunusa Mbye" and "the teaching fraternity deeply feels your absence".

The research team of the tour, EDUSA team engaged several teachers as part of the nationwide tour’s data collection activity.

The EDUSA tour wrapped up on 5 July.
