Gunjur United came from one nil down to draw 1-1 with Medina United in their opening league fixture played at the Gunjur Nyamina Mini Stadium on Thursday to share the points in the country’s Second Tier.
Sellou Jallow gave Medina United the lead in the 15th minute of the match from a thunderous strike.
Gunjur United responded back for an equaliser and levelled the scores through substitute midfielder Dad Jarju in the stoppage time from an astonishing strike.
Gunjur United and Medina United both bagged 1 point each in one league match.
The duo will contend to win their next league matches to land their first win in the country’s Second Tier.
