The Coastal Road boys finished fourth-place in Group B of the annual West Coast Region zonal football tournament with 3 points in four group match prior to their quarter-final match with Sukuta, who finished second-place in Group A with 7 points after four group matches.
The Sukutarians were tipped by many football admirers as the favourite to beat COSDA in their quarter-final match to cruise to the semi-final following their exceptional performance in the group phase of the West Coast Region zonal football tournament.
COSDA scored one goal in the match without Sukuta replying to advance to the semi-finals of the 2023 West Coast Region zonal football tournament.
The Coastal Road boys now joined Foni and Gunjur in the semi-finals of the annual West Coast Region zonal football tournament after eliminating Sukuta.
