BST Galaxy beaten in GFF 2nd Division League

BST Galaxy FC were beaten in their Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League week-17 fixture played on Monday.

Jarra West beat BST Galaxy FC 2-1 during a game played at the Soma Mini Stadium

Lamin Sarr gave BST Galaxy the lead in the 26th minute before Jarra West came from behind to take the lead through Buba Sey and Ebrima Ceesay’s strikes in the 49th and 63rd minutes of the game.

Despite the victory, Jarra West maintained their place at the relegation zone on 16th position with 16 points while BST Galaxy dropped to 5th position with 29 points.

Elsewhere, the Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) were defeated 2-1 by Immigration FC during a match played at the King George Mini Stadium in Banjul.

Dawda Sambou gave the Ferry Boys the lead in the 17th minute but the Security outfit came from behind to collect the maximum point through Lamin Casama and Mbackehz Kijera goals in the 33rd and 79th minutes respectively.

The result moved Immigration to 8th position with 24 points, two points behind GPA, who occupy 6th position with 26 points after 17 games.

Tallinding United defeated Hart FC 2-1 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

Musa Sanneh and Modou Lamin Darboe scored for Tallinding United while Alasana Saidy scored Hart FC’s consolation goal in the 4th minute.

The win moved Tallinding United to 13th position with 19 points while Hart FC still sit at the relegation zone (17th) position with 15 points after 17 matches.

Gunjur United defeated Young African 1-0 during a game played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

Pa Assan Barrow scored the game’s only goal for Gunjur United in the 39th minute.

The win put Gunjur United at 7th position with 25 points while Young Africans sit 14th position with 16 points after 17 matches.
