The Sateyba boys defeated the city boys 3-2 in their crunch week-20 match played at the Brikama Box Mini Stadium on Thursday.
Real de Banjul, who were leading the country’s Elite League since the start of the league campaign in November 2023, came for the significant three points to extend their lead on the league table but lost to Brikama United.
The city boys still sit top-spot on the country’s Elite League table with 42 points despite slipping to Brikama United.
Real de Banjul will fight hard to win their next league fixture to maintain their league title aspirations.
Brikama United now occupy 11th place on the First Division League table with 24 points after 20 league fixtures.
The Sateyba boys will scuffle to win their remaining league outings to secure good position on the country’s Elite League table.
It could be recalled Real de Banjul won the First Division League trophy last year after their astonishing performance in the league campaign.
