BK Milan restore lead in GFF 2nd Tier

The Bakau Kachikally Milan team (BK Milan) have temporarily restored their lead at the top of the standings in the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Second Division League played on Sunday.

BK Milan defeated Latrikunda United 1-0 during a game played at the Late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

Ebrima Kinteh scored the game’s only goal for the Kachikally based team in the 18th minute.

The victory temporarily moved BK Milan at the top of the table standings with 33 points while Latrikunda United sit 10th position with 22 points.

Elite United defeated Jam City 1-0 during a match played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

Sheikh Tijan Jallow guided team Elite United to victory after scoring the only goal in the 5th minute.

The win moved Elite United to 3rd position with 31 points while Jam City occupy 4th position with 29 points.

Medical FC were beaten 3-2 by B4U Kiang West during a game played at the Soma Mini Stadium.

Kutubo Ceesay was the hero of the game for B4U Kiang West after scoring all three goals (a hat-trick) in the 26th, 47th and 65th minutes respectively. Medical FC scored their consolation goals through Basirou Sosu and Lamin Jarra in the 60th and 90+2 minutes.  

The result puts B4U Kiang West on 15th position with 16 points while Medical FC occupy 8th position with 23 points.

Bombada were held to a 1-1 draw by Kanifing East during a game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

Ansumana Badjie scored for Kanifing East in the 20th minute before Lamin Sambou leveled matters for Bombada in the 34th minute.

Bombada FC occupy 11th position with 21 points while Kanifing East sit 7th position with 23 points.
