BK Milan close gap on Gunjur Utd in 2nd Division

BK Milan last Thursday closed the gap on league leaders Gunjur United to one point in the 2021-2022 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Division Two League after defeating Red Hawks 1-0 in their week-14 fixture played at the Real de Banjul Football Field.

The Bakau based-club were four points behind the Coastal Town boys before their match with the Young Red Devils combating for survival in the country’s Second Tier following their woeful performance in the league campaign.

BK Milan scored one goal in the match without Red Hawks reacting to close the gap on Second Division League leaders Gunjur United to one point.

The win earned the Bakau based-club third-place on the Second Tier table with 25 points.

Red Hawks remained 16th place on the Second Division League table with 12 points after losing to BK Milan.

Meanwhile, Second Division League leaders Gunjur United drew goalless with Water Side FC in their week-14 match played at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field to share spoils in the country’s Second Tier.

The Coastal Town boys now clutched 26 points in 13 league outings with a game in hand against Red Hawks.

Water Side FC remain 15th place on the Second Division League table with 13 points despite drawing with Gunjur United.
