Biko continue winning form, Marimoo suffer setback in GFF 1st Division League

The Gambia Football Federation Men’s First Division League week six matches began on Tuesday as Steve Biko FC continued their winning formula while Marimoo Pakfood FC suffered another setback after being forced to another draw.

Steve Biko FC defeated Greater Tomorrow 3-1 during their encounter played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Adama Bojang, Lamin Sillah and Ismaila Manneh scored for the Bakau Giant Killers – Steve Biko while Abdoulie Baldeh scored Greater Tomorrow’s consolation goal.

The Bakau-based team, Steve Biko, now moved to the top of the table standing with 12 points. The defeat dropped Greater Tomorrow to 13th position with 5 points, leveled with Brikama United.

The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) defeated Waa Banjul 1-0 during a game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.

The Soldiers scored their only goal of the match through Emil Sambou’s finish during the second period.

Marimoo Pakfood FC moved to 3rd position with 12 points, while Banjul United sit 10th position with 7 points.

Gamtel FC played a goalless draw against Brikama United during a game played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

The result tentatively puts Gamtel FC at 8th position with 8 points, while Brikama United occupies 12th position with 5 points.
