Bakau, SK West rub shoulders in KM zonal opener Saturday

Bakau will lock horns with Serekunda West in the opening match of the much-anticipated Kanifing Municipality Zonal Football Championship on Saturday 25th October 2025 at the Bakau Mini Stadium at 4pm.

The championship is organised by Kanifing Municipality Sports Committee (KMSC) and Kanifing Municipality Regional Football Associ (KMRFA).

The first-ever Kanifing Municipality Zonal Football Championship is expected to feature five zones namely Serrekunda West Sports Organisation (SWSDO), Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO), Manjai Sports Committee (MSA), Bakau Sports Committee (BSC) and Serrekunda Central Sports Committee (SCSA).

According to the organisers, the first-ever Kanifing Municipality Zonal Football Championship is set to provide young talents from ‘nawettan’ within Kanifing Municipality to the national divisional league, develop their skills, discipline and opportunity through sports.
