The Games will begin on 23 July 2026 and finish on 2 August 2026.
According to Jammeh, Team Gambia are currently preparing to participate in the Commonwealth Games.
Jammeh called on Gambians both home and abroad to rally behind the athletes and support them through the Games.
"Our athletes carry not only their personal ambitions but also the hopes and aspirations of an entire nation," Jammeh said.
Jammeh expressed confidence that they would represent The Gambia with honour, determination, discipline, and pride.
