Ansumana Kujabi’s brace earns Medina FC spot in SESDO knockout final

Ansumana Kujabi’s brace has earned Medina FC a place in the final of the 2023 Serrekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) ‘nawettan’ knockout competition.

Medina FC progressed to the final of the Kombo Real Estate sponsored Serrekunda East nawettan knockout competition following their 2-0 win over in-form Leeds United in their semi-final match played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Ansumana Kujabi scored a brace for the Tallinding-based team in the 51st and 53rd minutes of the match respectively.

Both teams came into the game with the motive of beating each other to advance to the final of the 2023 Serrekunda East nawettan knockout competition.

Medina FC and Leeds United FC showed great character and resilience during the first half of the match.  

 In the second half, Medina FC increased their attack and tempo of the game to score two quick goals in succession, leaving the supporters and management of Leeds United disappointed.

Leeds United FC will now switch their attention to the league competition following their elimination from the Knockout competition.

After advancing to the Serrekunda East nawettan league competition, Medina FC will fight to register success in this year’s Serrekunda East nawettan.

At the time of going to press, Abuko United were taking on United Stars in the second semifinal match at the Serrekunda East Mini-Stadium.
