Aissatou Tunkara penned a 2-year deal (ending in the summer of 2024) with the female team of the English Top Flight club about 4 weeks ago from Athletico Madrid in Spain, with who she had been since 2018.
Her move to the club made her the third international football player of Gambian decent to have worn the jersey of the elite club.
The 27-year-old is a talented centre-back, who plays for the French national team.
“I am very happy and honoured to join such a prestigious team as Manchester United. I can’t wait to start this new challenge and join my teammates,” the 27-year old football star is quoted saying by Journal break, UK outlet after she penned the deal.
