Midfielder Baboucarr Saidy’s 67th minute strike was all but enough to earn Gunjur United a slender win over Jarra West in the Second Division League.
Jarra West responded for an equaliser and created some goal scoring opportunities but failed to capitalise on them thus the match ended 1-0 in favour of Gunjur United.
The victory moves Gunjur United to 9th place on the Second Tier table with 44 points.
Gunjur United will scuffle to beat Jam City and Immigration in their remaining league fixtures to secure good position on the Second Division League table.
Jarra West remain 14th place on the Second Division League table with 32 points despite slipping to Gunjur United.
The Jarra West based-club will fight to win their two remaining league outings to bounce back in the Second Tier.
