Dankunku gets electricity after 300 years of existence

Niamina Dankunku village which has been in existence for the past 300 yearshas finally been blessed with 162 solar streets lights covering the entire village.
The visiting delegation was led by the Chairperson of the French Parliamentary Committee, Mr Francois Mbaye.
The two sides agreed to ink a Memorandum of Understanding focusing chiefly on agriculture and technical cooperation.
Hon Lamin J. Sanneh, National Assembly Member for Brikama South revealed plans to initiate an economic forum through which France and The Gambia will deal with sectors in need of bilateral interventions.
He said the Parliamentary Friendship Group will facilitate the twinning of the health and education sectors in the areas of social welfare and languages respectively.
Mr. Jean-Charles Allard, Charge d’Affaires at the French Embassy in The Gambia hailed the collaboration between the two parliaments and encouraged members to widen their friendship scope.
