The Group, which is specialised in four businesses namely; real estate development, construction, transport and sand mining, was established in 2018.
The foundation is aimed at supporting the needy through the provision of social amenities such boreholes, gardens, construction of markets, milling machines, among others.
At a recent presser held on Wednesday at Jambur village, Kombo South, Foma Lamin Conateh, programme manager for Ginkon Foundation for Development expressed gratitude to the Ginkon family and the public for re-electing President Barrow..
“We are here to thank our supporters within the country for the success we are all celebrating today.” he said.
Mr. Conateh explained that during the just concluded presidential campaign members of the foundation assured to vote for President Barrow on December 4th.
“So we all fulfilled that promises by voting President Barrow massively. So, this is why we organised this press conference to thank those people who help us and make us feel proud.” he noted.
Conateh said the founders of Ginkon Foundation, Kebba Madi Bojang and Momodou Bojang wanted to help the needy since the time of former President Yahya Jammeh, but the environment at the time was not conducive for them.
In this regards, with the change of government in 2016, the Bojang family deemed it necessary to support the poor to improve the living conditions of vulnerable households.
Momodou Bojang, administrator for Ginkon Foundation for Development, equally thanked the national executive of the National People’s Party (NPP) and its political appendages for supporting President Barrow for the landslide victory in the just ended presidential elections.
“I really thank the Ginkon family for rallying behind President Barrow during the just ended election.” he said.
He indicated that Ginkon Foundation would continue to provide humanitarian aid for the poor to improve their living condition.
Musu Drammeh, chairperson for Ginkon brothers and sisters, a political wing to Ginkon Foundation for Development, also expressed similar sentiments.
Sainey Manneh, President for Ginkon brothers and sisters added: “I definitely thank the Ginkon family for their efforts during the just ended presidential election, because they did a great job by helping President Barrow winning the elections. So I say bravo to you all.”
