The film directed by Mexicans Eduardo Flores, Gabriel Beristain and Cuban Roberto Chile was screened this Saturday at the Rich Mix cultural complex in East London by Alborada Films, which produces and distributes documentaries about Latin America.
The objective of this film is to offer a portrait of Fidel Castro, one of the most well-known political leaders in the world, from the perspective of his friends, family and close collaborators, Flores explained in a message transmitted before the presentation.
Speaking to Prensa Latina, the director of the production company Alborada Films, the British-Chilean journalist Pablo Navarrete, considered it an honor to be able to show for the first time on British screens the documentary about a figure, he said, so great and important in the history of Latin America.
According to Navarrete, there are many people interested in having the documentary, which won the Audience Award at the 35th Trieste Latin American Film Festival last year, be shown in other cities in the UK.
