Darsilameh community receives environmental cleansing materials

Darsilameh village in Kombo North District, West Coast Region recently received 40 waste bins, one motorcycle and medical assortment from professor Fouad Khoury and his students from Germany.

The gesture is meant to ensure sustainable environmental hygiene in the community.

Professor Khoury and his students also supported Darsilameh Community Health Centre which is being sponsored by the German Federal Government.

The assistance to the health centre is meant to ensure proper treatment for all patients who visit the health centre.

Tabally Bojang, Darsilameh alkalo in his remarks expressed gratitude and appreciation to the German government through professor Dr. Fouad Khoury for their support.

According to him, Professor Khoury has brought significant development to the village and its health centre.

Mr. Bojang stated that the waste bins have contributed to the cleanliness of his community  and promoted environment hygiene. He encouraged natives of the village to continue to adopt the culture of promoting a healthy environment.

 Dembo Juju Bojang, chief of Kombo North District described the donation as timely. He thanked donors for their intervention at the community.

He assured them that the medical assortment and waste bins will go a long way in easing some of the environmental and health challenges fadem the community faces.

Modou Lamin Bojang, coordinator and Health Nurse at Darsilameh Health Centre, described the donation as essential to their service delivery.

He therefore extolled the donors for their initiative, which he described as a step in the right direction. He advised the community to take good care of the waste bins and ensure to cleanliness of the community.
