
The accused was asked by the court to produce three Gambian sureties, each of whom should sign a bond of D1.5M. One of them should also provide a title deed within the Kanifing Municipality to the registrar of the court whose value should be D3M. It should be valued by a renowned evaluator.
It was alleged that the accused sometime in November, 2024, at Fajara and within diverse places, in the Kanifing Municipality of the Republic of The Gambia, she, by false pretence with intent to defraud, obtained from one Sheriff Jallow cash amount of D3,000,000 with the pretext that she would sell a compound to him which representation she knew and believed to be false.
It was also alleged that with intent to defraud and deceive, she prepared forged Busumbala Alkalo documents purporting to be what it is not.
She did not accept any responsibility when the charge sheet was read to her. The prosecuting officer, Inspector Cherno Baba Jallow, did not oppose to bail for the accused. He subsequently applied for an adjournment to be able to secure his witnesses to testify. His application was granted and the case was accordingly adjourned.
