It included the president of the UTGSU, Muhammed Ngallan, vice president Ebrima Jatta, secretary general Muhammed Lamin Ceesay and others. The visit by the students was geared towards finding ways for a more robust partnership and collaboration between the UTGSU and the Turkish Mission in The Gambia.
The discussions were centred around scholarship opportunities for UTG students, language and cultural exchange initiatives, student exchange programs and climate change issues. The discussions broadly displayed students' interests in educational and cultural cooperation, which would play a huge role in their educational journeys.
Meanwhile, the delegation has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Ambassador Oba and his office for their warm reception and hospitality.
"We sincerely appreciate the impactful support and collaborations we have shared with the Turkish Embassy. We look forward to fostering even more meaningful partnerships in the future," it later states in a dispatch.
